Winner - 2017 AIPP NSW Portrait Photographer of the Year!!!

I am absolutely thrilled to win the 2017 AIPP NSW Portrait Photographer of the Year (I was also named a finalist in the Illustrative Category). Judging took place in Sydney on the 21st-22nd May with entries from all over the state, with an awards ceremony held last Tuesday evening in Darling Harbour.

I came away with 2 gold awards & 2 silver awards across the portrait & illustrative categories which I am really proud of. Gold awards are not given out easily... to put it into perspective out of 680 entries just 22 golds were awarded - and I received 2 of them! Whoohoo!

It is such a huge honour (I am still pinching myself!), it really does mean the world to me to have won a category in the prestigious NSW Awards 3 years in a row!!

All I can say is dream big - you just never know unless you put yourself out there...

Images represented by Platform 72 Art Gallery & Exhibition

Wow what a whirlwind 2016 has been! (Hence my very belated blog post... I am going to make it my mission for 2017 to be more constant with this kind of thing!)

I was thrilled a few months ago to be signed with Platform 72 Art Gallery in St Leonards Sydney, who will now be representing 10 of my images:

Mother Earth Series

From the Flame Series

Earth Weaver Series

Black Veil

The opening of the group exhibition "Photography Now" was on the 3rd December (you can still see it over this weekend!!), it was amazing to see my gorgeous Mother Earth gracing the front window of the gallery. I felt very honoured to have my images on the walls alongside Jennifer Chua, Paul Foley & Angela Robertson-Buchanan's beautiful work.

Exhibition : Contemporary Photographer of the Year Art Prize

What a huge weekend we have just had in Adelaide for the opening of the AIPP Contemporary Photographic Art Prize, which was run in conjunction with the Shimmer Photographic Festival. I was excited to be one of 10 photographers selected Australia wide to exhibit my series "My Mother Earth"

I was absolutely thrilled to be named in the top 3 finalists on Sunday after the judging was held... actually blown away is probably more of an accurate description!! So much talent & diversity hanging on the walls, I really wouldn't have wanted to be one of the judges that had to make a choice on a 'favourite'
A huge congratulations to Jeff Moorefoot who took out the title, and to everyone that participated - I feel very honoured to be a part of this exhibition with you all.

The exhibition is on display until 3rd October, held at the beautiful Hardys Tintara Winery in McLaren Vale (and they have an amazing Pinot Noir if you swing by the cellar door!)
